How to apply for driving license Online?
Go to Official Website:
First of all you have to go to the official website of Government of India, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. When the website opens, you have to click on the menu named Road Transport, after that the option named State Transport Departments Website will appear, click on it.
Select State Name:
In this, you have to select your state i.e. the state in which you live and click. As soon as you click, another website of that state will open, in which you will see the option of Online Driving License on the left side, click on it.
Apply Online:
Now another tab of the selected state website will open in front of you, the option of Apply Online will appear on the right side, tap on it and click on New Driving License.
Instructions For Application Submission:
On this option, some instructions will be given to get the driving license, read it and understand it (so that you have to follow it) then click on Continue.
Learner’s License Details:
After clicking on Continue, the Learner’s License Details page will open in front of you. Select the option given in it and click on OK.
Fill The Form:
Now Driving License Online Form will appear in front of you, fill all the correct information in that form and upload whatever documents are asked.
DL Appointment:
After you have uploaded all the documents, you will be asked to select the time for your DL Appointment, select the Date and Time to go to the RTO Office to get your DL tested.
Pay Fees:
To submit Driving License Application, you will have to pay Driving License Online Fees, after doing this your application will be successfully sent to the RTO Office.
Submit Form:
After filling all the information correctly, there will be a Submit button at the end of the form, click on it. After submitting the form, an auto generated Web Application Number will appear on your screen, note down that number for future so that you can check the application status. and for driving license download, you can also download Driving License.
Driving License Renewal Online
The renewal application will not be considered more than one month before the license expiration date. If the application is delayed more than five years after the license expiration date, the applicant must complete all procedures to obtain a new license.
If the renewal request is not made before or more than 30 days after the license expiration date, the renewal will be effective as of its expiration date. If the request is made more than 30 days after the license expiration date, the renewal will be made from the date of receipt of the corresponding request. In such cases, a fee of Rs. 30/- will be realized.
